I am very careful with the truth,
and I strongly advise everybody to be polite and truthful when posting here.
Smear campaigns are not what we should do, let's leave that to Microsoft.

/Stefan

To be clear:

This meeting is of an advisory group to discuss maintenance procedures for any ISO/IEC 29500 (should it be approved); no text is necessary for that work;

No work on 29500 itself is in scope for this group (and in any case would not be possible while that project is under appeal);

Any plans the group makes are entirely provisional on the outcome of the appeals;

Only nominated NB representatives may attend - I would not want other people wasting their money travelling to London only to find they could not.

Also, sadly, The British Library is not currently a client of my company. The position you link to is a voluntary one which I was nominated for as a representative of publishers, in recognition of my expertise in digital publishing. Not that I would expect you lot to let the truth get in the way of a good smear!

- Alex.
