The Software Freedom Law Center has analyzed Microsoft's "Open Specification Promise" that accompanies OOXML and found it seriously lacking for FOSS developers.

I have yet to see creativity from M$. Ask yourself, are you M$ Guinea Pig? Do you know one? Do you want M$ to suppress ODF?

Thousands of people DO successfully run home businesses or have jobs they do from home. You can too! I encourage every individual to start their own home businesses whenever possible. Many people were surprised to see how Russian Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology had voted Yes without any comments on OOXML. An article by the Russian IT-review Cnet relates some facts.

Standard Norway has today voted to disapprove OOXML on the grounds that the specification is insufficiently open.

Slashdot reports that the Swedish SIS has invalidated their own decision to support OpenXML.

Sweden's SIS changed their vot to absstain after many problems became public knowledge.

Palestinian Standards Institute, sent the ISO Regional Liaison Officer For The Arab And Medit. Region informing that they are against the adoption of the standards.
