I will not be billed although I submitted comments to the standard proposal, presumably because the process was unfair.

A couple of weeks ago I submitted comments on the standard proposal to SIS, the Swedish Standards Institute. In theory, I should have paid 600 SEK (approx 70 EUR) a long time ago (never got a bill due to vacation), but it seems in practice I won't be billed. Ever. Evidently, I and another private person commented on the proposal and I've been informed that none of us will need to pay. I guess this means that SIS realize that our comments were unadressed, the vote rigged and the entire process flawed. No?

That other person was me. I may be the reason for your rebate, because I wrote a letter to SIS in my disappointment, and said I would refuse to pay money to do several days of work which is then discarded. The people at SIS acknowledged that it seemed a bit silly to hunt me down for that small sum when they had recently received an unexpected small fortune by the new members, and canceled the invoice. People at SIS are of course not happy, they are honest standards people who seem to be deeply troubled by the fact that the vote was stacked in this ugly manner. They clearly see the problem, but I fear that there is nothing they can do to declare the vote invalid.

Update: It seems SIS did find an applicable clause in their rules, and declared the vote invalid. Thank you, SIS!
