Do we have a Microsoft Gold Partner CEO at hand, to charge him with this ? ;-)

Allegedly, there was a statement somewhere on the ISO website saying that Canada's national standards body SCC had resigned from the secretariat role for JTC1/SC34, but I have not found that information myself on www.iso.org. Please link to any official statements you may have found.

I have found this:

Announcement

The Secretariat Manager has submitted his resignation and the Standards Council of Canada has given notice for relinquishing the SC34 Secretariat. The National Body of Japan has graciously agreed to undertake the Secretariat duties after the end of the December SC34 plenary meeting.

Interesting website. I dug around a bit on it and found in the minutes of the March SC34 meeting in Oslo with Canada thanking Japan for taking over the Secretariat. So that change had nothing to do with how the vote went.

http://www.jtc1sc34.org/document/secretariat_temp.html

gives all the member countries of sc34. Might be a good resource for those who will be 'educating' the new P members about OOXML and whether they should vote yes or no at the BRM.
