ISO لا للمصادقة على جعل نسق ميكروسوف أوفيس كمعيار
أطلب من الأعضاء المحليين لمنظمة ISO التصويت بـ"لا" على الاقتراع ISO DIS 29500 - Office OpenXML or OOXML format وذلك للأسباب التالية:
- يوجد معيار مُعرّف مسبقاً اسمه ISO26300 Open Document Format بإسم مختصر (ODF): ازدواجية المعايير ستزيد من الكلفة، وعدم الثقة، والارتباك للصناعة، والحكومات، والمواطنين؛
- لا يوجد أي تطبيق مثْبت لمواصفات OOXML: حيث يولد ميكروسوفت أوفيس 2007 إصدارة خاصة به من OOXML، وليس صيغة مطابقة لمواصفة OOXML؛
- يوجد نقص في المعلومات في وثيقة المواصفات، مثل كيفية عمل autoSpaceLikeWord95 أو useWord97LineBreakRules؛
- أكثر من 10% من الأمثلة المذكورة في المعيار المقترح غير مطابقة لمعيار XML؛
- لا يوجد أي ضمان لمن يكتب البرامج التي تطبّق مواصفة OOXML جزئياً أو بالكامل** لأن لا يكون عرضةً للمسائلة القانونية بسبب حقوق الملكية الفكرية ورسوم هذا الترخيص من قبل مايكروسوفت؛
- اقتراح المعيار هذا **يتعارض مع معايير ISO أخرى، مثال ISO 8601 (طريقة عرض التواريخ والأوقات)، وISO 639 (رموز تمثيل الأسماء واللغات) وISO/IEC 10118-3 (cryptographic hash)؛
- يوجد خطأ في صيغة ملفات الجداول الحسابية يمنع إدخال أي تاريخ قبل سنة 1900: مثل هذا الخلل يؤثر على مواصفة OOXML إضافة إلى إصدارات برمجات مثل مايكروسوفت إكسل 2000، XP ،2003 أو 2007.
- اقتراح المعيار هذا لم يتم التوصل إليه بجمع آراء وخبرات جميع الجهات المعنيّة (كالمنتجين، والباعة، والمشترين، والمستخدمين، والهيئات المنظمة)، بل مايكروسوفت وحدها.
