Microsoft OfficeフォーマットがISO標準になることに反対

私は、次のような理由でISO DIS 29500 (Office OpenXMLまたはOOXMLフォーマット)の投票で「反対」票を投票することをISOの国際委員に要求します：

  1. Open Document Format (ODF)というISO26300標準が既にあります：二つの標準は産業、政府、市民にコスト、不安、混乱を与えます。
  2. OOXML仕様の確実な実装がない：Microsoft Office 2007はOOXML仕様のファイルフォーマットで保存せず、OOXLMの特別バージョン形式で保存します。
  3. 仕様文書から抜けている情報があります。たとえば、autoSpaceLikeWord95やuseWord97LineBreakRulesをどう扱うかということです。
  4. 提案されている標準の中で示している10%以上の例がXMLとして正しくありません。
  5. マイクロソフトからの特許訴訟や特許使用料などの責任なしにOOXMLの全てまたは一部を実装したソフトウェアを書くことができる保証がされていませ。
  6. このOOXMLのフォーマットは既存のISO標準と矛盾しています。たとえば、ISO 8601 (日付・時刻の表現)、ISO 639 (名前や言語の表現コード)、そしてISO/IEC 10118-3 (暗号ハッシュ)など。
  7. 1900年以前の日付を禁止している表計算ファイルフォーマットにバグがあります：このバグはOOXML仕様だけでなく、Microsoft Excel 2000、XP、2003、2007などのアプリケーションにも影響を及ぼします。
  8. この標準提案は全ての当事者たち(開発者、販売者、購入者、利用者、監査者)の経験と専門知識を結集して作られたものではなく、Microsoft一社によって作られています。
