NE - Microsoft Office formato paskelbimui ISO standartu
Prašau nacionalinių ISO narių balsuoti PRIEŠ Microsoft Office Open XML (OOXML) specifikacijos patvirtinimą ISO standartu, kadangi:
- Jau egzistuoja standartas ISO 26300 Open Document Format (ODF): papildomi standartai reikalauja išlaidų verslui, valstybei ir piliečiams;
- Nėra nei vienos tinkamos OOXML realizacijos: Microsoft Office 2007 išsaugo failus specialiu formatu, kuris skiriasi nuo OOXML specifikacijos;
- Specifikacija nėra pilna, pavyzdžiui, nėra autoSpaceLikeWord95 bei useWord97LineBreakRules aprašymų;
- Daugiau nei 10% specifikacijos pavyzdžių neatitinka XML;
- Nėra garantijos, jog pilnai ar iš dalies atitinkančios OOXML specifikaciją programinės įrangos kūrėjai nenukentės nuo patentų ar patentų mokesčių kompanijai Microsoft.
- Formato specifikacija kertasi su jau egzistuojančiais standartais, tokiais kaip ISO 8601 (Datos ir laiko vaizdavimas), ISO 639 (Vardų ir kalbų vaizdavimo kodai) bei ISO/IEC 10118-3 (Kriptografinė maiša);
- Elektroninių lentelių formate yra klaida, kuri neleidžia įvesti datų iki 1900 metų: ši klaida yra tiek OOXML specifikacijoje, tiek Microsoft Excel 2000, XP, 2003 ir 2007;
- Specifikacija buvo sukurta nesinaudojant patirtimi bei ekspertizėmis suinteresuotų šalių (gamintojų, pardavėjų, pirkėjų, naudotojų bei kontrolierių), o išskirtinai iš Microsoft pusės.
