NĒ Microsoft Office failu formātam kā ISO standartam
Es pieprasu Latvijas Valsts Standarta pārstāvjus ISO balsot "PRET" balsojumā par ISO DIS 29500 (Office OpenXML vai OOXML format) sekojošu iemeslu dēļ:
- Jau eksistē standarts ISO26300 Atvērtajam Dokumentu Formātam : duālie standarti palielina izmaksas, neskaidrību un apjukumu industrijā, valsts iestādēs un arī iedzīvotājiem;
- Pierādāma OOXML implementācija neeksistē : Microsoft Office 2007 veido failus specifiskā OOXML formāta veidā, kas nav atbilstošs iesniegtajai specifikācijai
- Nav brīvi pieejama informācija , kas nepieciešama implementācijai, piemēram specifikācijā nav aprakstīts kā apstrādāt autoSpaceLikeWord95 vai useWord97LineBreakRules elementus;
- Vairāk nekā 10% no specifikācijā minētajiem piemēriem nav valīds XML ;
- Nav nekādu garantiju, ka kāds var uzrakstīt programmatūru , kas pilnīgi vai daļēji realizē OOXML specifikāciju, it īpaši nepārkāpjot Microsoft patentu prasības ;
- Šis standarta pieteikums konfliktē ar citiem ISO standartiem , tādiem kā ISO 8601 (datumu un laiku reprezentācija), ISO 639 (vārdu un valodu reprezentācijas kodi) or ISO/IEC 10118-3 (kriptogrāfiskā hash funkcija);
- Kļūme izklājtabulu specifikācijā aizliedz ievadīt datumus pirms 1900. gada : šī kļūda eksistē arī visās testētajās Microsoft Office versijās, kas implementē šo specifikāciju;
- Šīs standarta piedāvāums nav ticis izveidots apkopojot pieredzi un ekspertīzi no visām ieinteresētajām pusēm (kā piemēram programmatūras ražotājiem, pārdevējiem, pircējiem, lietotājiem un regulātoriem), bet gan tas ir tikai Microsoft radīts.
