Jo formatit së Microsoft Office si një standard ISO

I kërkoj anëtarve nacional të ISO të thonë "JO" votimit të ISO DIS 29500 (Office OpenXML ose formati OOXML) për këto arsye:

  1. Ekziston një standard ISO26300 - Open Document Format (ODF): një standard i ri shtonë shpenzimet, paqartësin dhe rrëmujën për industrit, qeverrit dhe qytetarët;
  2. Nuk ekzistojnë implementime në speçifikimin OOXML: Microsoft Office 2007 prodhon një version të veçantë të OOXML-it, i ndryshëm nga ai i përsjkruar në speçifikimin OOXML;
  3. Mungojnë informacione në dokumentin e speçifikimit, si përshëmbull si të përdoret autoSpaceLikeWord95 ose useWord97LineBreakRules;
  4. Më shumë se 10% të shëmbujve të cituar në propozimet standard nuk janë dokumente XML të vlefshëm;
  5. Nuk ka asnjë garanci që mund të shkruhet software për të implementuar krejtësisht specifikimin OOXML ose pjesë të tij pa qën të ndjekur për infracion të liçensës/lejes ose pa paguar një license leje Microsoft-it;
  6. Ky propozim standardi është në konflikt me standarded e tjerë ISO, si standard ISO 8601 (raprezentim i datave dhe orareve), ISO 639 (kodë për raprezentimin e emrave dhe gjuhëve) dhe ISO/IEC 10118-3 (Hash të kriptografuar);
  7. Ka një bug (difekt) në formatin e fletës së llogaritjes që nuk lejon futjen e datave më para se 1900: ky bug është prezent në speçifikimin OOXML si edhe në software-in si Microsoft Excel 2000, XP, 2003 dhe 2007;
  8. Ky propozim standardi nuk është krijuar duke mar parasysh kërkesat dhe experiencat të të gjitha pjesëve (produktorë, shitës, blerës, klienteve dhe rregullatorve), por vetëm nga Microsoft.
